Playing electric shock games with Adam Savage Hey thanks everybody who pointed out that Tom Scott has a project called The Technical Difficulties! I had no idea and in no way meant to impose on somebody else’s brand. Unintentionally doing something stupid is like my biggest fear in life [THINK: dog scared of fireworks on New Year’s eve] and we’re figuring out how to deal with it on our end. But most importantly I’ve reached out to Tom and apologized. One solid piece of human being, that guy!
Baby Sloth Rescue in Costa Rica Occurred on January 15, 2018 / Morgans Jungle Lodge, Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica We own an eco lodge in a remote section of Costa Rica. Our guest told us of a baby sloth that they saw about a half mile down the beach on the rocks still alive. We ran down to find it before it died and scared off a couple of dogs who were about to run up on it. We found the rare, young, 2-toe sloth that survived the high tide and a storm overnight. It was wet with salt water and had sand in its eyes. It appeared tired and scared and began to cry out to us as we approached. With no adult sloths in site we carefully placed him in a box with a towel then took him back to the lodge and rinsed the salt water off its face. We then took the baby sloth to the animal rescue center at Tranquility just down the road. He seemed to be fine and happy to be dried off and safe.
Kid pissing on elevator buttons. What could go wrong? In Novosibirsk Russia, a boy pissed on the elevator buttons causing a short in the elevator control circuit and the elevator stopped. The boy got scared and called his mother. The mother immediately called the rescuers and the child was freed. Later, his mother received a bill from the management company for repairs and cleaning of the elevator.
Make way! A child was scared after the soldier repeatedly told him to get out of the way.
