A painting pig saved from the slaughterhouse is set to become the world’s first animal to host her very own art exhibition.
The porky painter, called Pigcasso, became famous for her abstract art – which sells for up to £3000 – after being rescued from squalid conditions at a pig farm in South Africa when she was just four-weeks-old.
The piggy prodigy is about to hit the headlines again as she becomes the first animal to host her own exhibition today (Friday, January 19).
The pink pop-up display, called OINK, opens in Cape Town today, before moving to London, Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam.
It will feature colourful artwork, all created by the 450lb pig, with proceeds going to Farm Sanctuary SA – a sanctuary for rescued farm animals.
