20.1.2025, Plymouth, United Kingdom. Landlord Jan Pringle was left in shock when he entered his property after two years. The flat had been systematically filled with rubbish for two years and in addition, the tenant had left hundreds of bottles of urine and bags of faeces there. When the tenant blocked the toilet, he started urinating into bottles and doing large bowel movements into shopping bags. Throughout the two-year tenancy, the tenant refused to allow routine inspections of the flat, which eventually led to the termination of the contract and forced eviction. The tenant apparently suffered from hoarding disorder, which was recognised as a mental disorder in 2019.
