A wonderful video from the path of Mocăniţă, a railway line in Romania that passes from Maramures regions, Transylvania, and Bukovina. Railways in mountain areas and the trains running on them are steam.

These railways were built for freight and passenger services – some dating back to the Austro-Hungarian Empire before 1920 – but fell into decline over the years. Some of them have now been restored for tourism.
