On Sunday, May 28, 2017 during the cup final between Benfica and Vitoria Gkimarase Portugal, the ball is handed to the referee from a man who was throwing onto a large hoverboard. O man crossed the ground tossing the ball in his hands and landed next to the referee. This prototype uses hoverboard propellers controlled by foot.
