The abbey of Mont Saint-Michel is located in the French commune of Mont Saint-Michel, in Normandy, the prefecture of the Channel. Along with the gold-plated statue of the Archangel Michael at the top of the bell tower, characterized as a masterpiece of Western civilization. The famous Romanesque church, which is one of the achievements of architecture, designed by William of Dijon in the 11th century.
