Last October, a large land slip observed in Rattlesnake Ridge, Washington City Yakima. A large part of the mountain was crossed and began to slide very slowly, at a rate of 30 cm per week. The houses near the ridge have evacuated, although the rate of sliding soil began to decrease in the last days. Geologists say the landslide will be long enough, and estimate that it would take several years, if not decades.
