A team from the National Robotics Engineering Center of Carnegie Mellon University in the United States, presented wheels which are converted into tracks while the vehicle is moving, in order to improve mobility and flexibility of military vehicles. The survey was conducted on behalf of the Research Department of Advanced Defense Systems (DARPA), the US Defense Department.
