After a failed robbery in the city Manaus in Brazil, a group of four robbers used 25 hostages as human shields in an attempt to escape from police. The conflict lasted three hours, because the victims had to walk down the street with their hands linked in a circle. Eventually, police snipers took out the robbers, without injuring the hostages.
