In 1984 and while he was camping at North Bay, Ontario, Canadian inventor Troy Hurtubise survived a dangerous encounter with a grizzly bear. This meeting led to the idea to build an armor that would allow someone to approach a grizzly bear safely, to the study of the natural environment. In the video, from the documentary Project Grizzly (released in 1996), the Troy Hurtubise rehearses the various armor, inspired by the movie RoboCop. The Troy Hurtubise died in 2018 at age 54 years, in traffic accident.
