Epic Games Reveals the Power of Unreal Engine 5 and the Power of the Playstation 5 Console with 'Lumen in the Land of Nanite', a real-time demo. The company is introducing two new technologies: Nanite, a geometry tool for importing 3D models from third-party software and virtualizing geometry consisting of hundreds of millions of micropolygons – and Lumen, a lighting tool that offers dynamic lighting that reacts in real time, in the changes to a three-dimensional scene. The Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine will be available in consoles by the end of 2021, PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
