In September 1940, An 18-year-old engineer named Marcel Ravidat was walking his dog in the countryside of southwestern France., when the dog disappeared under a hole. The dog finally returned, but the next day Ravidat went to the spot with three friends to explore the hole. After a while digging, they discovered a cave with painted walls, including more than 900 animal paintings, horses, deer, bison. He also had paintings of species that are now extinct, including a hairy rhinoceros. The paintings were stunningly detailed and bright red, yellow and black made of powdered mineral dyes that were usually blown through a narrow tube, probably a hollow bone, on the walls of the cave. Eventually it will turn out that these works of art were at least 17.000 years.
