Serving tea in Morocco

This is a Moroccan tea serving called Atay. The video serves “gunpowder” tea – a type of green tea produced in China's Zhejiang Province. It got its name from its outward resemblance to gunpowder. The tea is served from a height in order to be aerated and oxidized, faster than conventional serving. If you look at the cups, the tea quickly turns from light yellow to brown. The height from which the tea is poured is considered an indication of the waiter's ability.
