In Halibut Cove, Alaska, an approaching otter climbs a boat to escape a whale chasing it. As John explains, the owner of the boat, the chase continued for several minutes and the otter went up and down three more times on his boat. Eventually John headed for a nearby lake, and then, at a safe distance now, the otter dived back into the water.
