Legendary Brazilian pianist João Carlos Martins can play piano again after 20 years, thanks to two bionic prosthetic gloves. Martins, who turned 80 this year, he was a virtuoso pianist at the age of 18 and gained worldwide fame. When he visited Bulgaria in 1995, was attacked by two criminals, which caused him a serious head injury. After this attack, he could not use his right hand again, and a few years later he had the same problem with the left. 20 years after, a pair of gloves made by Brazilian engineer and designer Ubiratan Bizarro Costa, they gave him the ability to play his favorite musical instrument again.
