Kristian Tysee, Stargate fan, built a stellar gate using a 3D printer and a Raspberry Pi nano-computer. He thus managed to reproduce the basic mechanisms of the famous portal. The vortex was made with LED strips and a plexiglass mirror. It took 18 months of work to build.
