The wolf is exhausted because of the virus, and walks along the road as it is very difficult for him to walk in the snow. The truck has its engine running, but the wolf is not bothered. This indicates that the wolf is infected. A healthy wolf would never approach a truck and keep a long distance. In this situation the wolf's intelligence is compared to that of a 'zombie' theoretically. He wants to eat but does not know how to do it, and so it can attack cars and bite wheels – or indiscriminately on people and other animals.
