According to journalist Alexei Shevchenko, Russian Ice Hockey Federation launches investigation into coach and his practices, to impose sanctions. Hand-to-hand combat in hockey, they started as a 'tradition' in the United States and Canada, but are not permitted by regulations. In North America, referees are more lenient with penalties for quarrels during the match, which, however, is not the case in Europe, where players are severely punished.
