Ο Sakaya Mitoh, a researcher from Japan, discovered a marine snail of the species Sacoglossa a few years ago, who decapitated himself to get rid of the parasites that were in his body. The head continued to live and move almost normally, without the heart and other organs in the body. Mitoh continued to watch the snail in the lab, which slowly regenerated his entire body over a period of 17 days.
