Thursday, May 13, 2021 near Salt Lake City, Utah, a hiker encountered a puma on a footpath in Big Cottonwood Canyon. He just saw the wild animal, he began to repeat 'I'm leaving, I will not hurt you' walking without turning his back. The puma followed him for about 5 minutes several times grunting, but did not attack him and eventually gave up.
