   I do not know, which of the two boys is dumber.
   You don't hit an animal and certainly not without a reason ! And a Doberman is a strong dog, he must be trained and let go on command. Hopefully that was a lesson.
   Unfortunately, such improperly kept dogs often end up in an animal shelter and then develop behavioral problems.
