The thermoplastic from which the seats of a stadium are made, is a type of polymer that can be liquefied and formed very easily with temperature. Polymers are not very hospitable in sunlight, from which they are destroyed and weakened, which is why the seats blur and lose their color under sunlight. Thus a thermoplastic polymer can be restored to its original appearance by heating, as color is present in the structure of the material.
