On Sunday, July 11, 2021, billionaire Richard Branson, accompanied by three other passengers and two pilots, made his first trip into space with virgin galactic company's VSS Unity spacecraft, thus starting space tourism. The aircraft took off from the runway at Spaceport America Base in New Mexico, climbing to an altitude of about 15 km before the landing of the spacecraft. VSS Unity then ignitioned its engine and started an ultrasonic ascent, reaching an altitude of over 80 km., A height defined in the United States as the 'frontier' of space (100 km to other countries). As soon as the engine was off, passengers were able to get out of their seats, to navigate gravity and observe the Earth from space.
