At the Scales and Tails Zoo in West Valley City, Utah, an alligator bit the hand of an animal trainer in front of children. The alligator tried to get out of his fence by climbing a platform. His instructor made sense to back off, but the reptile disobeyed and snatched her hand when she tried to drive him away. A father accompanying the children immediately intervened asking to jump into the water to check on the animal. After several seconds, the woman was able to free her hand. She was rushed to hospital and completely healed her hand.
