The South Korean Railway Research Institute accelerated a mini train to a record speed of 1.019 km / h, just below the speed of sound (1192 km / h). Scientists expect to launch this new means of transportation on the Seoul-Buzan route in 2024, reducing travel time from 3 hours to 30 minutes.
