On Saturday, October 9, 2021 during a Flat Track race (motorcycle racing on an oval dirt track) in Charlotte, North Carolina, rider Sammy Halbert had an impressive fall after colliding with another rider's fallen motorcycle. He escaped with fractures in one arm and one leg, as well as a cut on the eyelid.

   on the head,saved with a cut on the eyelid he says. Without a helmet it was a done deal. The head popped forward in full force. So to realize how important the helmet is.
