On Monday, July 25, 2022 in Ithaca, New York, Sherri Russo, a 61-year-old woman, was violently attacked by a fox while talking on the phone in her backyard. The fox that was captured, she tested positive for rabies and was euthanized. Suffering from many bites and scratches, Sherri Russo received the necessary care, as well as the rabies vaccine.
