A freak clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers took place on Friday, December 9, 2022 at the disputed Himalayan border between India and China, causing injuries to both sides. According to Indian sources, about 300 Chinese soldiers armed with sticks clashed with about 50 Indian soldiers on their shared border in India's northeastern Arunachal Pradesh region, near Bhutan. Indian reinforcements arrived later and were able to repel the Chinese advance.
