Cirque du Soleil acrobats perform the lion dance while balancing on poles. In the first part is the rehearsal without the lion costume and in the second the same choreography with the costume. The lion dance is a traditional dance in China and Asia, where the dancers imitate the movements of a lion. It is often held for Chinese New Year, other religious and cultural holidays, weddings or to honor important guests.
