In Leavenworth, Washington, a man and a woman were walking their two dogs, when a bear suddenly appeared in front of them. The man tried to intimidate her by shouting, but the bear kept coming after one of the dogs. To protect his girlfriend and the dogs, the man hit the bear on the head. The bear left and the man continued to make noise, banging a shovel and a bin lid to make sure the animal was removed.
