On Saturday 24 June 2023 during the European Athletics Championships in Chorzow, Poland, Belgian shot putter Jolien Boumkwo ran in the 100m hurdles. Because of her colleague's injury, the team would get 0 points. With her participation, the shot putter brought 1 point and allowed her country's team to qualify. Finished the 100m hurdles in 32”8, almost 20 seconds slower than the first.
