Snakes do not catch water with their tongues and only suck water through a hole in their mouth. They absorb water by capillary action, like a sponge.

   Interesting !
   Wenn ihr unterwegs seid im Sommer und es ist trocken und heiß ….. please give water to all animals, who approach you.
   They suffer terribly from drought.
