On Monday, October 2, 2023 around 10:30 am. in Sardinia, the driver of a Ferrari and a Lamborghini attempted to overtake a motorhome at the same time on a no-passing road. The two vehicles collided, the lamborghini hit the camper, and the one that overturned on the road. The Ferrari also overturned and caught fire. The occupants of the car died in the accident, a Swiss couple (67 and 63 years old). They had rented the vehicle and participated in the Sardinia Supercar Experience (a gathering of sports cars). The Indian couple in the Lamborghini were not injured. The Italian couple in the caravan were injured.
