In The United States, a thief grabs the package from the entrance of a house at the same time as the deliveryman delivers it. It has been observed on several occasions, credit card thieves ordering packages with the stolen cards and putting in a random delivery address so as not to reveal their location. They then track the package through the courier company, and as soon as it arrives they wait for the dispenser to grab it immediately before the home owner sees it.
