On September 9, 2024 Vietnam was hit by a series of devastating floods after Typhoon Jagi caused the collapse of a bridge over a river in Phu Tho province. The steel bridge collapsed on Monday morning, causing ten cars and motorcycles to fall into the river. The rescuers managed to get several people out and take them to the hospital, but at least ten people remain missing. The incident was one of many tragedies associated with this hurricane, which caused extensive damage to the country.
