The Horten Ho-229 was the world's first airplane with jet engines. It was the third prototype of the advanced German aircraft but it never saw combat. It was developed in the last stages of World War II, when Germany desperately needed new weapons to turn the tide of the war. The design of the Ho-229 was an attempt to produce a fast and highly maneuverable jet. In the decades after the war, the aircraft became famous for its unusual shape and its resemblance to the modern B-2 stealth bomber, raising questions about its supposed stealth capabilities. The Blue Paw Print channel shows us how the aircraft was built and operated in a very nice 3D animation.
