Tutankhamun's golden throne

The Golden Throne of Tutankhamun is a beautifully decorated artifact that is among the treasures discovered in the tomb of the young pharaoh in the Valley of the Kings. The throne is made mostly of gold and decorated with precious stones and colored glass. His most famous part is his back, depicting Pharaoh Tutankhamun and his wife Ankhesenamun. In this scene the wife anoints the pharaoh, symbolizing their mutual love and devotion. This throne is one of the finest examples of ancient Egyptian art and craftsmanship.
