While on safari in South Africa, a tour guide managed to film a rare scene of a bird bathing in ants. The bird in the video is a buzzard and is passively bathing with ants. The bird deliberately sits on an ant nest and waits for the ants to cover it. Ants secrete formic acid, which acts as an insecticide and helps clean the bird of its parasites.
