Once a year, on August 1, Warsaw residents pay tribute to the dead heroes who fought for freedom in 1944 during the uprising. So everyone motionless for a minute at the sound of a loud siren. This large-scale uprising against the Germans in the Polish capital cost the lives of over 200.000 people.
