The U.S. Navy showed a video with the testing of a new weapon, who uses lasers to shoot down a small unmanned aircraft. The laser weapon system temporarily installed aboard the destroyer USS Dewey in San Diego, and will be ready for use in 2014. Currently it can not hurt fast moving targets like fighter planes, but is effective against small ships and reconnaissance aircraft.
