Hydrographic printing is a method of applying printed designs in 3D objects. Can be used on metal, plastic, glass, wood, and various other materials. PVOH film printed with the image of the artwork to be transferred, and then placed on the surface of a water tank. A chemical is sprayed onto the membrane to help weld, and then the object sinks into the tank until the film to bind on it.
