One of the most famous attractions in Astoria South. York is the Greek Bookstore owned by Sam Chekwas called Seaburn. The only Greek Bookstore in New York City! The Seaburn headquartered on Broadway (33-18) and offers a variety of Greek books. The 48chronos owner Sam Chekwas is Nigerian but speaks fluent Greek and feels Greek. He was a student in Nigeria, when he read the tragedy 'Antigone' in English, and since then became a big supporter of the Greek spirit. In the 1980s he came to Greece to study and learn the Greek language, and he studied dentist at Aristotle University.
