The kid found him after school and, knowing that we have a public food and water bowl for stray animals, left him at our door. We support our local rescue group, Animal Relief Caldas Novas, and called them to take care of the puppy, who have already found a family that adopted him.

Do you ever hear this officer try to talk to him or his teacher? He was not posing a serious imminent threat to himself or others at this time; therefore I believe this is excessive.
