This strange marine animal called basket star or Starfish-cart in Greek, and here we see out of the sea, in Singapore. It belongs to the category of echinoderms and a relative of the starfish, except that lives at depths of about 2000 meters below sea level. It reaches a length of up to 70 centimeters and feeds mainly on molluscs and worms.
