The Tesla Valve was invented in 1920 by Nikola Tesla. It is also known as Tesla’s valvular conduit. It is a one way valve with no moving parts.

     if the side channels are made movable or rotatable....this allows you to change the angle of 'counterflow' within certain limits....and thus limit the speed of the flow through the central channel
