Zolushka is a Siberian tigress who was rescued and rehabilitated by IFAW, the International Fund for Animal Welfare. Using high definition cameras, GoPro captures the moment as this incredibly rare tiger is released and returned to its wild habitat.

A giraffe and a zebra looking for food The Owen Maynard and his family went for a walk on the Wild Animal Safari Park in Georgia US, where guests can spend their car near the animals. A giraffe and a zebra frightened passengers, when they passed their heads through the windows of the car looking for food.
Primitive Technology – cultivation and preparation of a Chinese potato I planted a yam in a large basket like enclosure and then 6 months later harvested, cooked and ate it. My previous attempts at growing yams were stymied by wild pigs and scrub turkeys. On learning that yams are in the area, these animals will seek out any tubers planted and eat them. So my solution was to build a large basket like enclosure to protect the growing vine. 13 wooden stakes were hammered into the ground (an odd number being important in any weaving project) and lawyer cane harvested from the forest was woven between these uprights. The basket was about 1 m in diameter and about 75 cm high.

Sure, there are some animals that you do not want to get anywhere near, but then there are some that you just want to cuddle with and love just like this deer here. In this adorable video, watch as a deer falls asleep in this person's lap! Sadly, the deer is blind and deaf due to an unfortunate collision with a vehicle. Luckily the good Samaritan in this clip saved the deer and took it in as a part of the family. Faith in humanity restored! It is very sad what happened to this animal. Good thing that this person came along when they did or else the unthinkable could have happened to this deer. Petting my Phidippus Adumbratus Jumping Spider Personality among Phidippus jumpers can vary a lot from one individual to the next, but the Adumbratus (outlines?) I found in Oxnard seem to all have a very calm disposition. I've noticed that one of the differences between wild and domesticated animals is whether the animal has an instinctual bite response to handling. There are certainly Phidippus that I've owned that could have been incited to bite under various conditions, but for this spider, I am not sure it would be possible to elicit a bite response outside of when she'll be guarding eggs. As this video illustrates, she does not seem to be bothered by much - even touching the dorsal side of the abdomen, which seems to be universally disliked by jumpers, just makes her lazily take a few steps in the other direction. This jumper is descended from a female that was already gravid when I found her. Based on owning a couple of these spiders so far, the female adumbratus abdomens seem to have considerable variation from spider to spider in patterning, hue, and color intensity/saturation, whereas the males have all been more or less homogenous. This spider is also gravid now, and it will be interesting to see what traits her offspring inherit.
Max Canada Lynx Max, the animal ambassador is topping the scale at 40.5 pounds! This is the most he has ever weighed. His body is gearing up for winter by adding mass and fur. At the end of the video he quickly leaped up to jump on me and lucky I'm pretty fast too! He's not totally domestic or wild. BTW, Max is not declawed. He was born May 2011 at a zoo and cannot be released into the wild. His pancreas doesn't function properly and therefore he needs enzymes on his meat daily.

Rescued Bear’s Shocking Transformation More than 30 years ago, a bear cub named Fifi arrived at a Pennsylvania roadside zoo. For years, she and other bears were forced to perform confusing tricks, like standing on their hind legs. After the roadside zoo closed its doors more than 20 years ago, Fifi languished in a tiny, rusted cage that contained nothing more than a dilapidated doghouse for shelter. Fifi was thin, her coat was dull and dirty, and she suffered from painful, untreated arthritis. Every step was a struggle. In July 2015, PETA and The Wild Animal Sanctuary rescued her. She was transported to the Colorado facility, where she finally had the care and the vast habitat that she deserved. After just five months at the sanctuary, Fifi's body finally matches her big and beautiful personality. She is healthy, her coat is full, and her legs are getting stronger every day. And this year, for the first time in her long life, Fifi is hibernating in her new, comfy den.
A tiger becomes friends with a goat An unlikely friendship continued to develop between a rare Amur tiger and a goat that was meant to be his dinner, at Primorski Safari Park in Shkotovski on Saturday. tODAY, Dmitri Mezentsev, director of the Primorski Krai Safari Park (In Russian): "The situation is really phenomenal. If I was told that this were possible I would not believe it; but miracles can happen. One of them is in front of you. I am really amazed. But this is a real friendship. He [the tiger] will not eat the goat. If he wanted, he would have eaten him one thousand times." tODAY, Dmitri Mezentsev, director of the Primorski Krai Safari Park (In Russian): "The Amur is three years and eight months old. During the three years that he has lived here, he has eaten more than 100 goats, sheep and other animals. He eats them twice a week, and it is fine with him. The thing is that this goat is audaciously brave, and the tiger decided that he will not eat him."

Baby deer rescue and release A deer doe abandoned one of her twin fawns, the fawn had injured leg and could not keep up with the mother. I do not support keeping wild animals as a pets, but this was special situation. The baby deer was healed and released back to her real mother.
