The Saturday, November 15th at dawn off the Canary Islands, two vessels of the Spanish boats rammed the Greenpeace's boat, while trying to reach the ship of Spanish Renaissance Rowan oil company Repsol, to complain about a future oil drilling in the sea area. During the incident, an Italian activist aged 23 years and fell into the water and was seriously injured by hitting the propellers of a Greenpeace boat. He suffered multiple wounds and a fractured tibia, and was transferred by helicopter to the Hospital of Las Palmas (Gran Canaria).
