Thrown to the bottom of the tanks to save fish

In Thailand, floats were thrown into the sea to form an artificial reef. These 25 corpses T69 tanks that were the flagships of the Cold War, purchased at half price from China in order to protect the ecosystem. Since fishing is an important activity in Thailand, the reproductive cycle of the fish is threatened by overfishing. The process is carried out to create an environment that mimics a coral reef, that will accommodate the fish.

The Thai Government has started years these tactics, plunging so far 273 train wagons and 198 trucks. Every machine is cleaned carefully of all harmful substances that could disturb the seabed. The first such rescue effort was carried out in August 2010. Today the results revealed the presence of 400 times more fish per square meter than before in the same location, by creating these artificial reefs.
