Italian fishermen catch a catfish of 127 kg!

On 19 February, the Ferrari Dino and his twin brother Dario made an unbelievable catch on the river Po in Italy. The two fishermen caught a giant catfish 2.67 meters in length and weighing 127 kg. After 40 minutes of fighting the brothers managed to pull this huge fish out of the water, and they have already called it 'the monster of the Po'.

The Catfish is the largest freshwater fish in Europe. Despite its size and the impressive weight, the monster of the Po are not the biggest catfish ever caught. A 195 kg catfish was caught in Russia and a rare species (Pangasianodon gigas) in Thailand it reaches up to 290 kg. Nevertheless, remains the record for the biggest freshwater fish caught with rod.

A feat and a beautiful moment of glory for the two Italians who had the opportunity to photograph the animal from every angle before leaving free.
