There are collectors grazing every country of the world, and there’s really no limit to just what they collect. Some people collect coins, some stamps, and some even butterflies. Helton Josue Teodoro Muniz collects fruit. Living in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Muniz has grown over 1,300 species of fruit in his massive Campina do Monte Alegre-based garden, the Rare Fruit Farm.

As a child, Muniz had his first run-in with a strange fruit that caught his eye, and that turned him on to the idea of seeking out unusual fruits. Unfortunately, due to a severe motor neuron deficiency, it was incredibly difficult for him starting out. But now, 16 years later, he’s known internationally for his achievements and massive fruit collection.
